• How does your media product represent particular social groups?
In my media project i have planned to focus on a particular social group for my magazine, this being pop music lovers. I had to think about the clothes my models would be wearing, the genre of music they represent and the style and layout of the magazine to represent my target aimed social group to attract them to buy it. Firstly my model on the front cover is stylishly dressed, abit eccentric with the oversized gold necklaces and the waistcoat shirt combo which would easily be seen at pop concerts alike. The features listed down the side give off that its a popular music magzine by featuring the top 100 albums you know its a generalized magazine due to its broad spectrum. By calling it one way i aimed it at the younger 14-mid 30's age group as the title sounds fresh and funky giving it a young vibe for the middle class generation. The contents page is filled with pictures of bands and model shot singers giving it that teenage girl vibe which has proved very popular in the music magazine industry.
